Right when the live theme is broken
The theme editor search just failed you.
A leftover app snippet, an old script tag, or a hard-coded price is somewhere in dozens of Liquid and JSON files. ThemeGrep searches the whole ZIP in the browser, then runs a health scan for the junk an uninstall left behind.
- The product page errors, and the snippet the app used to own is still being rendered.
- A sale price was typed into a section. The editor search box returns nothing.

The tool stays locked until a valid address is saved. A short privacy notice sits next to the field.

Open the theme
Upload the ZIP from Shopify Admin, upload a folder, or load the bundled Northwind sample. Unzipping happens here.

Plain text, case, regex, and whole word. Results group by file with line numbers. Export the rows to CSV.

Does my theme get uploaded?
No. The ZIP is unzipped in your browser. Search, health scans, CSV export, and saved themes all stay on this device.
Which file do I download from Shopify?
In Shopify Admin open Online Store, then Themes, then the menu on the theme you want, then Download theme file. Upload that ZIP, or upload the unzipped folder.
What does a health scan catch?
Leftover app code, missing snippets, deprecated include tags, hard-coded http assets, unused snippets, duplicated script tags, and large assets. The free plan includes one full scan per theme.
What happens after 5 searches?
Each theme includes 5 free searches and 1 free health scan. The next search or scan opens the Unlimited plan. A different theme gets its own free allowance.
Will Upgrade charge my card?
No. Checkout is a stub. Upgrade records an intent on this device and unlocks Unlimited here. No card number is collected and nothing is charged.
Can I keep more than one theme?
Unlimited saves themes in this browser with IndexedDB. The free plan keeps only the theme you have open, and only until you close the tab.
